Our Doctor

​​​​​Dr. Abraham Alboher O.D. is an optometrist who is proficient and trained in ocular disease, dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, as well as providing general ocular health care. Dr. Alboher graduated from the State University of New York College of Optometry. He was awarded the Louis Herrmann Memorial Award for  He acquired his clinical experience in ocular disease by rotating through the Hudson Valley Veterans Affairs Hospital System and Gouverneur Hospital, an NYC Health System Hospital. He has extensive clinical experience diagnosing and managing dry eye, cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, and corneal conditions. His training and clinical experience also included consultations for surgical procedures such as LASIK, cataract removals, and glaucoma surgeries. Dr. Alboher was also involved with the post-operative care of his patients, as well. In addition to a concentration in ocular disease, Dr. Alboher possesses clinical expertise working with specialty rigid lenses (scleral and prosthetic) and soft lenses (multifocal, astigmatic, spherical). He is a member of the American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association, and Contact Lens Society of America. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a warm and compassionate disposition. When not in the office Dr. Alboher has several hobbies, including outdoor activities such as surfing and snowboarding.

​​​​​Dr. Nicole Kress graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2013 with a Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Kress received high academic honors upon graduation, as well as the award for Clinical Excellence in Pediatrics and Vision Therapy from The Eye Institute. She completed clinical rotations at Forks Optical in Easton, PA, Eye Associates of Monroe County in Stroudsburg, PA, and Seidenberg-Protzco Eye Associates in Havre de Grace, MD.

Following graduation, Dr. Kress completed a residency specializing in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at The Vision and Learning Center at Family Eyecare Associates in Fair Lawn, NJ under the guidance and expertise of Leonard Press, OD, FAAO, FCOVD. Focusing largely on developmental optometry and pediatric eye care, she was trained to effectively diagnose and treat binocular vision deficits, learning-related vision problems, amblyopia, strabismus, and acquired brain injuries that are impacting vision. Dr. Kress has developed a particular passion for working with children to assist in eliminating any visual obstacles that are limiting their potential to succeed in the classroom. In 2017, Dr. Kress became a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and was recognized among New Jersey Family’s Favorite Kids’ Docs.

Additional areas of clinical interest for Dr. Kress include fitting contact lenses (including astigmatic and multifocal contact lenses) and diagnosing and treating ocular disease, including anterior/posterior pathology, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and dry eye disease.

Dr. Kress is originally from Nazareth, Pennsylvania. She graduated at the top of her class at Nazareth Area High School and went on to attend the Pennsylvania State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences. In her free time, Dr. Kress enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark, and daughter, Emersyn, visiting family and friends, and supporting the Penn State Nittany Lions.

​​​​​Dr. Offen has officially retired from practicing optometry. After providing 32 years of excellent eye care and servicing the Westfield community with compassion, Dr. Offen has retired. She was consistently using the most cutting-edge technology and was loved by her patients. She was well-known in Westfield and the surrounding communities. You may run into Dr. Offen at the practice visiting her staff or interacting with her previous patients. The staff and doctors of Offen Eye Associates wish her an excellent retirement and wish to thank her for all that she has done. Dr. Offen is a board-certified optometric physician in New York and New Jersey. She received her Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York and has been practicing optometry since 1983. She began her practice in 1987 in Westfield, New Jersey. In 1988 Dr. Offen became certified as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and became board certified in children's vision. Dr. Offen has held several executive positions in professional optometric organizations. She was a member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey State Association of Optometric Physicians, as well as the Chair of the External and Public Affairs Committee. Additionally, she is an examiner for the Northeast Region of the Clinical Optometric Assessment Service and has been published in several professional optometric journals. She provides comprehensive eye care and vision therapy with state-of-the-art equipment for testing, diagnostics, and treatment. And she offers laser surgery consultations for patients interested in LASIK. She is a speaker for Vistakon and is affiliated with many contact lens providers. Through her affiliations she conducts studies to test new contact lenses and is the first physician in the area to offer newly FDA-approved contact lenses. Contact Dr. Offen for more information.
